Rosary Rally set for May 13 in Cuero

Dear Editor,

I am writing you about a Rosary Rally that is being planned for May 13 at noon on the DeWitt County Courthouse lawn. I am one of two organizers in our local area for America Needs Fatima (ANF. org). The other is Kathy Gips. This Rally will be one of thousands of rallies that will take place all across the United States on that day, at noon, in celebration of the 100th year anniversary of Our Lady Of Fatima’s first appearance to three children in Portugal on May 13, 1917.

America Needs Fatima is a campaign to capture the heart and soul of America with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. In 1917, Our Lady appeared at Fatima to three young seers with a message of warning and hope for humanity. If the world did not convert, the Blessed Mother said there would be much suffering, famines and wars. To avert such disasters, Our Lady asked for prayer, penance and other measures. She also promised that: “Finally, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

Today, Our Lady’s message is timelier than ever in light of the many sins of men and the turning away from the Faith. The America Needs Fatima campaign is dedicated to bringing this urgent message into peoples homes and to the public square. This is done by the home visitation program, in which the statue of Our Lady visits thousands of private homes yearly. America Needs Fatima distributes millions of rosaries, devotional items and calendars. Other activities include Public Square Rosary Rallies, publications, e-mail campaigns and protests against blasphemies.

This Rally is open to the public and all are invited to attend.

Respectfully, Madlyn McLeod
